Description

Dometic™ D21-SECG RV 2-Burner Propane S/S Cooktop w/ Glass Cover
The Dometic Drop-In cooktop has a powerful 7,200 and 5,200 BTU burner, allowing you to conveniently prepare a main dish and side dish simultaneously. The recessed control panel and burner knobs are easy to use and allow you to cook with precision. The one-piece surface ensures the cooking area is easy to clean. It’s the ideal cooking companion, wherever you are!
  • Glass Cover: Tempered glass lid hides the cooktop when not in use
  • Cast Iron Grate: One piece cast iron distributes and holds heat evenly
  • High Output Burners: Sealed burners with a 5,200 and 7,200 BTU rating
RV Propane and BTU’s
This cooktop requires low pressure (11” W.C.) propane for operation. This is achieved with a low pressure regulator which is standard/required on all RV's. If there is not a pre-existing RV propane system, then you have to setup a low pressure propane system.
RV Cooktops are designed smaller than household cooktops, which means they produce less heat than the large burners on your cooktop at home. An average household cooktop has a BTU rating of 10,000. Additionally, you will most likely be using this cooktop during your travels. This cooktop is rated for an elevation of 4,500 feet. Operation above this elevation may require derating by 4 percent for every 1,000 feet above sea level. For example, at 8,000 feet, the cooktop should be derated approximately 32 percent.

I found the low pressure regulator required But decided on a 1# tank to have INSIDE my Sprinter To be 4 season capable and it took searching to find an adaptor from the 1# tank to the low pressure regulator. NOW it works great! After it cools I put the lid d own and then the 3” foam mattress on top for a 72” bed
