Freezer Compartment
A small freezer compartment is located inside the refrigerator. This compartment is a small drawer located at the top of the refrigerator compartment.
Why go electric?
The Isotherm electric only refrigerators are compressor operated instead of the traditional RV gas absorption operation. This allows for more efficiency during 120 volt and 12 volt use. Exterior ventilation is not required, like propane operated refrigerators. Gas absorption refrigerators must be level to operate, the Isotherm refrigerators are capable of functioning at angles of up to 30°.
Low voltage protection
In order to prevent excessive battery depletion, a protection device shuts off the compressor in case of insufficient voltage (10.4v) and turns it back on when the voltage in the system increases after the batteries have been charged (11.7v).
Electric refrigerators are sensitive to power changes or insufficient power. It is important that the system can handle 15 amps of 12V DC power. A minimum of 10 gauge wire for installations up to 12 ft. is required. If the refrigerator is supplied with insufficient power, it will not operate, or show signs of difficulty operating.

    Isotherm Drawer 85 from Panther RV

    I purchased and installed this fridge as an upgrade and update to the appliance that came with my Bayliner 2859 back when it was new in 2001.

    Panther had the lowest price for this product, and the lowest shipping cost (shipping cost by a large margin). I was not disappointed, as my online product order was processed in less than a day, and it arrived just a few days later. The refrigerator arrived with no shipping damage, and in a nice sturdy crate. After unpacking, I could find no shipping damage.

    The new fridge is just great! So much nicer that my old one, as it is mounted under my settee and now all I have to do is lean over and peer down into it, rather than sit on my haunches and search for the items I want (and in the process emptying half the fridge!). I look forward to bringing ice cream on board this year as it has a small freezer section with its own drawer. Also, the 5 LEDs do a great job of illuminating the inside of the product.

    In use ,the refrigerator is really quiet (I think much more quiet than the Norcold DE-451 it replaced)! The stainless steel exterior and all the interior finishes are excellent.

    No reservations about this product or Panther as the dealer: Both are 1st rate!
