The Thetford cassette toilet has become the toilet of choice in camper van builds. The functional design combines modern styling and ease of use making it an integrated part of your camper bathroom. This toilet is manufactured from high quality synthetic material creating a durable, user & maintenance friendly toilet.

Cassette

A cassette toilet is made up of two parts: a permanently fixed part and a waste tank that is accessible from the outside. The removable waste tank is located under the toilet bowl and can be removed via a door (not provided) on the outside of the camper or van. This feature allows you to build a small bathroom without having to worry about plumbing a black water tank into your camper.

Installation

This cassette toilet has a waste tank, but no fresh water tank. It has hookups to connect to your camper's freshwater system. It requires 12V DC power to operate the flush. An enclosure will be necessary since the sides of the toilet are open, and an access door (not included) will be required on the side with the cassette. If you want to get creative, you can also install the compatible shower tray (not included) with the toilet.

Works great, bought the toilet, access panel, and a non matching shower pan to fit a 35”x35” space. I wish the toilet came with installation instructions, it’s tuff to be sure which wire is which when there is 4 wires. Also would be nice to have a water supply line with a more standard size, resorted to using a barb and clamp. There is also a vent that needs drilled through the floor which makes sense but it took awhile to figure out what it was. Regardless I figured it out and it works great. Love the extra clearance by not having a septic tank. Really is a slick design, very well thought out toilet. Access panel had great instructions and templates.
