Description

BLEMISHED - This refrigerator is missing a thin plastic trim piece from across the upper part of the door opening. There is some damage to the lower right corner of the door opening near the hinge. There is damage to the exterior door panel as shown. Sold As-Is.
Isotherm C085RBUAB Isotherm Cruise 85 Elegance Electric Refrigerator/Freezer - AC/DC - 3.0 C/F
The new Elegance design features a two-inch thick door with more insulation for superior cold retention and operating efficiency. The CR85 Elegance features a four liter freezer compartment, one adjustable shelf with a hatch to allow tall bottles to stand upright and a built-in fan-cooled Danfoss / SeCOP compressor. The CR85 Elegance has an innovative internal anchoring system which allows mounting the fridge without a flange. Interior light and flange is standard. Easy door swing change from right to left.
Why go electric?
The electric only refrigerators are compressor operated instead of the traditional RV gas absorption operation. This allows for more efficiency during 120 volt and 12 volt use. Exterior ventilation is not required, like propane operated refrigerators. Gas absorption refrigerators must be level to operate, Isotherm refrigerators are capable of functioning at angles of up to 30°.
Low voltage protection
In order to prevent excessive battery depletion, a protection device shuts off the compressor in case of insufficient voltage (10.4v) and turns it back on when the voltage in the system increases after the batteries have been charged (11.7v).
Electric refrigerators are sensitive to power changes or insufficient power. It is important that the system can handle 15 amps of 12V DC power. A minimum of 8 gauge wire for installations up to 20 ft. is required. If the refrigerator is supplied with insufficient power, it will not operate, or show signs of difficulty operating.
