The Thetford cassette toilet has become the toilet of choice in camper van builds. The functional design combines modern styling and ease of use making it an integrated part of your camper bathroom. This toilet is manufactured from high quality synthetic material creating a durable, user & maintenance friendly toilet.

Cassette

A cassette toilet is made up of two parts: a permanently fixed part and a waste tank that is accessible from the outside. The removable waste tank is located under the toilet bowl and can be removed via a door on the outside of the camper or van. This feature allows you to build a small bathroom without having to worry about plumbing a black water tank into your camper.

Operation

This toilet is flushed by pumping the flush handle up and down (located on the back panel of the toilet). The waste is then passed from the toilet bowl to the holding tank by moving the blade handle on the front of the toilet from left to right. To adjust the angle of the toilet bowl, close the cover and use both hands to rotate it up to 90° clockwise and 170° counterclockwise.

Installation

This cassette toilet is self-contained with a small freshwater tank and waste tank. An enclosure will be necessary since the back of the toilet is open.

We ordered this early for install in our camper & it will fit well. Love the option to rotate the seat 90 degrees plus the ease of an exterior door to remove the cassette for easy dumping. We will not have a black tank in our camper, only grey water. Toilet is very well designed & suits our needs perfectly.

We have enjoyed this toilet and its ease of use. I installed in in our new Sprinter into a plywood frame, temporarily and learned how to install it through the van exterior wall when I am ready for the perm ant installation. I need more information on the flush tank additive (pink) please follow up with me

Quality and servicability

Excellent product. Shipped, well packaged, and no damage upon receipt. Recommend this product for any configuration where only minimum space is available for the install. I installed this toilet in a Ford Transit 350, high roof passenger van. Removed the rear seats and built a small cabinet to contain the unit. A table top hinges up to allow access to the toilet seat. The cutting template and parts provided - made this a fairly straight forward job. The fresh water holding tank, black water holding and all fill and access points are easy to access and use. My wife and I have used this product without incident during extended travels many times.
