Dometic™ Atwood 33082 Furnace Sail Switch With Bracket Upgrade Kit
This is a replacement sail switch for select Atwood AFM and AFL Series Furnaces. The sail switch is an air proving device. It is a safety component that will not let ignition occur until it sees 75% of the motor’s rpm’s. It ensures that the combustion wheel is rotating fast enough so that there is a proper air and gas mixture for smooth ignition.
When the paddle of the switch is depressed, there should be continuity through the switch. If a sail switch needs to be replaced, it should be replaced with the exact same size. The most common problems with these switches are bent paddles, loose wire connections or an obstruction between the paddle and switch contact.

    Improved Atwood Sail Switch

    Have been numerous service calls on this switch not operating properly, this newly improved bracket helps the switch actuate much better and have not had a recall since using these assemblies.

    I was having problems with the furnace in my trailer. A quick google search narrowed down my issue to a faulty sail switch. I reviewed the manual and was able to search for the exact part number 33082 and I followed the link to this website. The picture and part number matched what was in the manual. I was able to order this sail switch and it arrived promptly within the delivery window. The sail switch was an easy installation and my furnace fired right up. I am happy with Panther RV products and will do business with them in the future.

    Ordered the part. It arrived as expected. Exact replacement part as I had a newer furnace. Old part removed, new part installed and viola, heat again.

    We replaced the OEM sail switch on our 2020 Jayco Camper which was definitely defective. Ordered this replacement switch and have had no further problems with our furnace. Happy Customer and now staying warm.

    The factory switch started working intermittently so I ordered this one and once installed it fixed my sail switch problem. It’s been working now for weeks and I’ve had no issues with it.
