PRV 37420K Strainer / Drain Kit for SMEV Sinks

This drain kit is simple, low profile and very effective. A fantastic solution. Put the strainer in sink with no gasket, put the rubber gasket over the tailpiece from below and push it up against the bottom flange of the sink. The plastic cup has deep enough threads that it will accept the entire tailpiece and tighten over the rubber washer. No ring-nut required. The outflow piece held to the bottom with two screws has a shallow basin in it that fills with water and creates a trap to keep out tank smells. An O-ring does a nice job of sealing the bottom piece. You can also rotate the bottom piece to any of four quadrants to orient the outflow where you want it. Ans,, if you pull off the black hose there is 3/4" hose barb you can run your own pipe to if you want. Fantastic!
