SikaFlex® -221 Multi-purpose Sealant - 10.1 fl.oz. - Aluminum/Grey

Sikaflex®-221 is a professional-grade, one-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant designed to create strong, flexible, and long-lasting bonds across a wide range of materials. Trusted throughout the RV, automotive, marine, and industrial industries, and commonly used in RV awning installations, it delivers reliable performance for sealing joints, bonding components, and protecting against moisture and weather exposure. Its moisture-curing formula forms a durable, elastic seal that resists aging, vibration, and harsh environmental conditions. Once cured, it can be sanded and painted for a clean, professional finish.

SikaFlex® -221 bonds well to a wide variety of substrates and is suitable for making permanent elastic seals. This product is to be used by professional, experienced users only. Perform tests on original substrates before using Sikaflex®-221 on materials prone to stress cracking to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

Surfaces must be clean, sound, dry and free from all traces of traditional and non-traditional contamination. All corrosion must be removed and all bare metal scrapes and scratches must be prepared in accordance with Sika's Corrosion Treatment recommendations.

Sikaflex®-221 can be processed between 5 °C and 40 °C (41 °F and 104 °F) but changes in reactivity and application properties have to be considered. The optimum temperature for substrate and sealant is between 15 °C and 25 °C (59 °F and 77 °F). Sikaflex®-221 can be processed with hand, pneumatic or electric driven piston guns as well as pump equipment.
