If you have a dometic fridge with the little plastic thumb catch on the door, be sure you keep several of these parts on-hand. Whatever product designer thought it was a good idea to design the latch to rely only on the flexibility of plastic to operate should be fired. Over time, opening the latch creates a stress fracture in the material and the latch snaps off in your hand. Or, you have a guest in your camper who doesn't know why the fridge door won't open and they break the latch trying to open it. And to add insult to injury the door on most of their fridges will not stay shut without this cheap and highly breakable part. SO if you are out camping somewhere you are SOL. I've gone through two of these latches in three years in my truck camper. I've learned to keep an extra or two in the camper. Dometic needs to completely redesign this part, but the quality seems to be par for the course for their products.
