Dometic™ Coolmatic 4450015355 OEM Refrigerator Door Latch / Handle - S/S

It’s a rather flimsy product — the parts are entirely plastic and tend to weaken with use. I’ve already had to order a replacement, and this time I ordered three spares just in case it breaks again. It’s unfortunate that Dometic uses this particular piece on the fridge door, where it needs to handle both the suction pressure and the weight of items stored inside. A metal or more durable version would make a big difference in reliability and longevity.

This handle is used on the type of refrigerator that has the slide out drawer. So it serves 2 purposes. To open then slide the door out which holds all of its contents. Unfortunately it is made of plastic and not metal so it doesn’t hold up very well.

The oem handle assembly is garbage. We glued block plastic to the door where the handle screws in. New handle and bolstered screw receptacle 5 stars

I contacted Dometic directly to find a replacement handle for my Dometic CRX00665 refrigerator on my boat. They could not help me and said I would need to buy a new door assembly. I found this part on Panther. I was able to snap it on and install in less than 1 minute. It is a perfect fit and works great. No tools required. 5 star review for sure. Would recommend this handle.

While Panther is a great retailer of Dometic, this particular handle is plastic and poorly designed as a functioning piece of the fridge, it can snap and break easily- making this is our second handle purchase in a two year period. Panther is great, Dometic should rethink the material type of part
