The MC Enterprise Aftermarket Thermal Cut Off is a safety component designed for use in Atwood direct ignition water heaters. The thermal cut-off is positioned on the incoming power wire and wired directly to the thermostat. It functions as a protective measure, designed to permanently sever the electrical circuit and disengage the water heater in cases of excessive heat. This serves to prevent potential damage arising from blockages in the main burner tube or flue tube, often caused by spider webs or wasps nest.
