FreshJet 5 is Dometic’s low-profile rooftop air conditioner designed as a direct Penguin II replacement. This 15,000 BTU model offers powerful cooling and heating in a compact footprint. With built-in hard start, quieter performance, and reinforced steel base, it’s ideal for new RV builds, universal replacements, and upgrades—delivering modern comfort without changing the fit.
  • Low profile (10.5") for reduced wind resistance and improved fuel efficiency
  • Pre-installed multi-zone control board, making installation easier
  • Built-in heat pump offering heat from 40°F and up
  • High-performance motor and fan for maximum cooling
  • R32 refrigerant is environmentally friendly and dissipates heat more efficiently
SAME FIT, UPGRADED BUILD
FreshJet 5 doesn’t just match the Penguin II, it improves upon it. An upgraded motor and optimized blower system reduces interior noise by up to 9 dB in non-ducted applications, delivering noticeably quieter comfort. Plus, a new aerodynamic shroud, better airflow design, built-in hard start, and more sustainable refrigerant (R32) all combine to offer better comfort, better reliability, and a longer product lifecycle.
