Way better than old school 2-way fridges!
As we were shopping for our new RV, we noticed that many new RVs on dealer lots were starting to come with 12V electric fridges instead of the traditional 2-way or 3-way propane electric fridges. Our RV didn't come with a 12V fridge, but we ended up selling the 2-way fridge that came in our RV for more than we paid for this new Dometic fridge, even though supply was extremely limited. The only model we could find was here on Panther RV and it was the wrong door configuration. But it only took a few minutes to swap the door to open the other direction. It might not seem like much, but we upgraded from a 6 cubic foot fridge to a 10 cubic foot fridge in the same footprint. We had to re-build the shelf above the old fridge because it was a few inches taller, but it's the same width and depth as the old fridge. After turning on the fridge for just 15 minutes, it gets quickly down to food safe temperature. We don't have the risk of a fire from the propane flame constantly running. We don't have to worry about the RV being level. We don't have to defrost the freezer. And we can actually keep frozen ice cream in the freezer! And it doesn't use as much power as we anticipated. We have just 1 solar panel on the roof and it keeps up with topping off our lithium batteries to run this fridge for more than a week of boondocking. Consider this a 5-star review of 12V RV fridges. We're definitely big fans!

exactly what I wanted
Replacing a propane/110 volt fridge on my pontoon houseboat. This is efficient enough to run with my solar year round. I'm guessing I'll save it's purchase price on propane in less than two years. Plus no spoiled food when I don't get to the boat for a month. And my beer stays cold.

DOMETIC™ DMC4101LH RV 12V DC ELECTRIC REFRIGERATOR / FREEZER - 10 C/F
Replaced our 8 year old gas absorption refrig. with the Dometic DMC4101. We have 650 watts of solar and recently upgraded to four 100 amp hour litium batteries. Prior to the litium, our normal daily power usage averaged less than 10% of the 410 amp hours available from 4 golf cart 6 volts. We were able to recharge even under the worst conditions, so feel the additional power usage of the 4101 should be no problem for our system. The 4101 fit through the 24 inch front door, 3/8 of an inch to spare. But, we had to take the doors off to lift into the cabinet, because of a shelf on the wall across from the cabinet. The doors come off easily, removing 5 bolts; but did take some adjusting to latch correctly when putting it back together. The 4101 fit into the location of the old refrig with no modification to the cabinet. The doors are a couple of inches thicker than the old refrig, so slightly narrowed the step up area into the bedroom, but feel there shouldn't be any problems. There was a gray tank vent piipe that angled into the back of the refrig compartment and went up into the refrig vent. With the old refig there was space for this, but the 4101 would run into this pipe blocking it from being fully installed. I ordered some two inch flexiable vent material to replace the riigid pvc which allowed it to bend into the corner. The old refrig's power was a 12 gauge wire which also powered the furnace. I decided to run new 10 gauge wire for the 4101 and moved the furnace to a seperate fuse. Have only run the 4101 for a couple of hours to test it, but it cooled down more in that time than old refrig did in several hours. Look forward to hitting the road with the additional space.
