Dometic™ Fan-Tastic K1020-19 OEM Roof Vent Dome Lid - Smoke

The part of the polycarbonate plastic where the screw threads into to hold the metal sliding bracket (which is what couples with the arm that opens the lid) is very brittle and broke within a couple days of use. I was able to get some epoxy and permanently attach it but it’s just annoying that it broke in the first place.

I bought this as a replacement for my Ranger 12 A-Liner. Very disappointed with it. The safety latch never seem to me to really hook securely but on the one and only trip I took this summer it was fine. But recently when I used it I screwed the dome down snug it broke making it pretty much useless. Very cheaply made, waste of money. Now I see why it's on sale. I would have tried to get a refund but it was months later that it broke. How do I keep it closed? I burnt a hole in it and tied it to the fan which of course make the fan useless.

The product fit great, shipping was acceptable. The only thing I missed during the ordering process was the cover was Translucent. I wish it was a little darker when shut. I will look up how to paint the underside with a plastic primer or something.
