The Victron MultiPlus-II 48V 5000VA is a next-generation, all-in-one inverter and battery charger designed for advanced mobile, off-grid, and grid-interactive energy systems. Like the original MultiPlus, it combines a pure sine wave inverter, an adaptive battery charger, and a fast AC transfer switch in one compact unit. The MultiPlus-II builds on this proven platform with updated internal design and additional safety hardware, making it suitable for modern energy systems that may interact with utility power.

High-Performance Pure Sine Wave Inverter: The MultiPlus-II delivers 5000VA of clean, pure sine wave 120V AC power, making it safe for sensitive electronics, appliances, and tools. It provides stable, high-quality power for RVs, vans, marine systems, cabins, and off-grid or backup power installations.
Advanced Adaptive Battery Charging: Its adaptive charger adjusts to battery condition to extend battery life and efficiently recharge from shore power or generators, supporting lithium, AGM, and lead-acid batteries.
PowerAssist & Seamless AC Transfer: This allows the MultiPlus-II to supplement limited shore or generator power during high demand while adding enhanced grid safety and anti-islanding protection for ESS and grid-connected systems.

System Integration & Expandability

The MultiPlus-II integrates seamlessly with Victron GX devices such as the Cerbo GX, providing full system monitoring and control through the VictronConnect app and the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal. Multiple units can be configured in parallel or for split-phase and three-phase operation, allowing the system to scale as power needs grow.

ESS (Energy Storage System) Ready

The MultiPlus-II is designed to serve as the core of a Victron Energy Storage System (ESS). This allows it to integrate with MPPT solar charge controllers or grid-tie PV inverters in advanced energy systems. ESS functionality is optional and configured through Victron GX devices using the Venus OS platform.
