The Victron SmartSolar MPPT -Tr VE.Can 250V/70A is a high-capacity solar charge controller built to maximize energy harvest for larger 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V battery systems. Using advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology, it continually tracks the optimal power point of your solar array, delivering fast and efficient charging even during rapidly changing or low sunlight conditions. With VE.Can communication for easy system integration, support for PV voltages up to 250V, and built-in Bluetooth for wireless configuration, the 250V/70A is ideal for large off-grid installations, marine systems, commercial setups, and high-demand RV or cabin solar systems.

• Automatic System Voltage Detection: The controller automatically detects 12V, 24V,36V, and 48V system voltage during initial setup. If needed, system voltage can be manually changed through the VictronConnect app or charger settings.

The SmartSolar MPPT -Tr VE.Can 250V/70A includes protections for over-temperature conditions with automatic derating, as well as PV reverse polarity protection and reverse current protection. These safeguards help maintain long-term reliability and protect both the controller and connected components in large-scale solar systems.

With integrated Bluetooth, users can configure settings, view live data, review 30 days of historical trends, and update firmware through the VictronConnect app. VE.Can communication allows multiple SmartSolar chargers to synchronize charging and share data with GX devices, providing seamless system-level control. When paired with a Cerbo GX or similar device, remote monitoring is available through the Victron VRM portal.

SmartSolar technology helps batteries reach full charge quickly while maintaining long-term battery health. The controller can even recover and recharge batteries that have fallen to 0V, provided the cells are not permanently damaged.
