Dometic™ 3316605.017 OEM RV 9200 Awning Motor Drive

The motor on my 2020 camper awning stopped working. Thankfully it was home in my yard. The new one worked out perfectly. Thank you ?.

The problem with this unit is a design flaw where a plastic gear is pressed on a metal shaft. The rest of the drive is great other than the plastic gear and metal shaft. After a few cycles, the plastic gear starts slipping on the shaft which will not allow the awning to roll up electrically. You can even roll it up manually when this gear/ shaft slippage occurs. Very poor design. Dometic needs to redesign this part with metal gear on the input shaft.

exact replacement and goes right in. Now if the manufacturer would just fix the plastic gear issue inside these things we would not have to keep replacing them.
