Dometic 55889 RV Double Element CI-21 Induction Cooktop

This was a cooktop replacement for my Airstream travel trailer when the factory top failed due to a part that must have been jarred loose and could not be repaired. This unit fit the factory cut out perfectly and was easy to install and has more features than the Furion top it replaced. Installation of the cooktop could not be any easier. It was so easy I almost had to check if I missed anything. I installed the cooktop where my Furion gas burner was installed from factory. The reason for replacing with a cooktop was mainly a safety concern of propane. The only thing you need to consider is making sure your pots and pans are induction compatible. Most of mine were aluminum so it was an excellent excuse to get new ones. The choice is clear: induction cooks faster and the glass top surface cools VERY quickly. Cleaning up the surface is fast and easy, actually way much more fun than having to wait for the cast iron cooktop to cool then lift those heavy parts and clean up around all the burners. With the glass top you just spray glass cleaner and done !
