Dometic™ A&E 3312487.337U RV Power Awning Right Arm Hardware - Reduced
This is the right side awning arm hardware for the use with Dometic 9100 or 9200 Power Awnings. The extension arm is a crucial component of an RV awning system, as its function is to provide support and tension to the awning fabric, ensuring that it remains taut and stable during use. The extension arm mounts to the RV sidewall and extends outward to support the awning fabric roller tube assembly. When the awning is extended, the extension arm helps to support the weight of the fabric and prevent it from sagging or flapping in the wind. It also provides a stable base for the awning, allowing you to enjoy shade and protection from the elements in comfort.

Adjustable Pitch
The pitch adjustment feature of the awning can help to provide better shade or protection from the sun, especially during the morning or late afternoon when the sun is lower in the sky. It can also help to prevent rainwater from pooling on the surface of the awning. To adjust the pitch of the awning, you loosen the knob located on the adjustable arm to move the arm up or down to change the angle of the awning. After you have set the pitch to the desired angle, you can tighten the knob to secure the arm in place.
Gas Strut Support
The replacement arm is equipped with a gas strut designed to provide tension and support to the awning when it is extended. The gas strut creates tension on the awning and helps to keep it in place, even in windy conditions. Additionally, it helps to distribute the weight of the awning and prevent stress on the extension arm and other parts of the RV.
Reduced Pitch Style
The reduced pitch awning arms are not as common but are still used by some RV manufacturers. They come with standard lengths for both the back channel and front channel. However, the pivot point is raised resulting in a 2" drop of the awning when extended.
Note:Dometic personnel are explicitly stating that their hardware may appear glossy or matte, or possibly both within the same hardware set (left and right arm). Dometic uses two different painter suppliers, so variations are expected. Dometic does not consider this variation as defective and will not offer an exchange or alternative.
The hardware back channel may have a slight bow due to the manufacturing process. However, this should not be considered a defect, and upon installation, the hardware will sit flat against the RV. The awning arm hardware is specifically designed to be lightweight and to rely on the strength of the RV's surface for support.

    I bent the outer rail of my right side awning arm. I called Dometic to buy a new one and I was informed that my model is no longer manufactured, nor were there any in stock. I shopped online and found Panther Products Company. I called them and they also said that the awning arm I have is no longer made nor did they have any in stock. The person I spoke to searched through all the types of Dometic awning arms that they have and the representative found an awning arm that has the same outer rail as the one I needed. Although I had to purchase the entire awning arm and pay for shipping which cost me a little over $467.19, I was able to obtain the part I needed. The representative from Panther products was very helpful and I am very satisfied with the knowledge and the service that enabled me to repair my awning arm without having to remove my entire original one.

    Best price, showed up quickly, and works as advertised. This is a right side arm, but will also work as a left side arm. It just has the wiring for the motor pre installed. Take the wiring and covers out for the left side and you’re good to go.
