    The mechanism is sturdy and fits our vent perfectly. The vent works like brand new now. My only negative comment is the instructions were provided in a way that led me to initially turn the gear in the mechanism in the wrong direction. I eventually figured out the problem with no further issues.

    Easy to remove the old unit and replace with this item. Haven’t used it much since install, but it’s working perfectly so far!
